Chief Richard Krauss

I have been a member of the Milton Police Department since January 2001. In those ten years, I have held many positions within the Milton Police Department. I have worked my way through the ranks of the department, starting as Patrolman and was promoted to Corporal, Sergeant, then Lieutenant before being promoted to my current position of Chief . I am currently the lead evidence officer, the driving instructor for the department, lead field training officer, and PBT instructor.

In my personal time, I like to spend time with my wife, daughters, and dogs. In the winter I enjoy skiing, while my summer activities include fishing, hunting, hiking, riding my motorcycle, and running. I ride my Harley motorcycle as much as possible.

I have truly enjoyed my first twelve years working with the residents of Milton and helping to keep the community safe. I would like to expand the technology we use within the Milton Police Department and work towards starting a K-9 program and a Motorcycle Patrol Unit.
